Mapalo Bread of Life has various Church Ministries.
Men’s
Men meet every Saturday for fellowship. They encourage each other on their roles at Church and in their homes. They share how to mitigate poverty from their families from biblical principles. On Saturdays they go for door to door evangelism.
Women’s
Women meet on Tuesdays for prayers and encouragements. They share issues affecting them such as Faith and Culture, marriage problems, and survival skills.
On Saturdays they clean the church and its premises. Sometimes on Saturdays they go to visit church members and those who are sick in hospitals.
Youth
Youths meet for Bible study and prayers on Thursdays. This is a time when they discus their challenges such as purity, HIV and AIDS, social empowerment, and spiritual growth. Sometimes they have prayer and fasting, all night prayers and concerts.
Praise and worship
We have two worship teams; foundation praise team and main praise. They meet on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. This is a time to rehearse songs and pray. They encourage each other on the importance of praising and worshiping God in truth and in spirit.
Sunday school
This is a group of young people of the age between 3 – 14 years. They meet on Sundays for Bible class. They enjoy their time as they share Bible verses, poems and Bible stories. Sometimes they hold conference and visit their peers.
Ushering
Their duty is to give hospitality, welcome visitors, follow up members, and ensure the congregation worships God quietly. They meet on Saturdays to prepare for the service and to ensure the church is ready for worship on Sunday.
Orphans and Vulnerable Children
This is a ministry which looks and cares for the orphans and vulnerable children. The Church has a community school which ensures that the OVCs attain primary education. The OVC are also provided with school supplies, food, clothes and spiritual growth.
Widows
This is a ministry which cares for the widows. Many of the widows are also in women’s ministry and participate in its activities.
Home Based Care
This is a team of care givers to people who are chronically ill and those living and affected with HIV and AIDS around the community. They encourage patients with the word of God and sometimes provide nutritional support. They clean the patients homes and cares for them as if they are their own family.
Deliverance
Deliverance is held every Thursday morning from 09:00 – 12:00 hours. This is a time to offer spiritual counseling, prayers for those who have infirmities, and those who need general prayers.
